Tell me about yourself?
The most common, typical and probably scariest question of them all. Where do you begin? How do you say something that's clever yet professional but maybe with a little bit of coolness thrown in. I would say, practice. This is the one question you know will come up and so it's also one of the questions you can kind of rehearse or plan for in advance.
Â
Part 1: Who are you? A bit of background - you're a fresh graduate so say you are.
My name is Sana (this is good to reiterate if you haven't because it also tells them how to pronounce your name) and I've graduated from the University of Greenwich, I've lived in London my whole life and I'm keen to step into the first chapter of my career.
Â
Part 2: Your highlight reel Have you accomplished anything so far?
I've graduated with a 2:1 from university, I particularly enjoyed the technology module which reflected through in my grade and I've also set up an architecture platform called :scale which helps students through university through productivity content and tutorials.
You could also mention if you've won any awards, did anything outside of university, are currently working on something etc.
Â
Part 3: Why you're here Be completely honest and find a relatable factor
This opportunity caught my attention because I'm intrigued about specific niches in architecture and I believe I can not only learn a lot from this practice but also be a fresh-face and asset to the team.
